Komets trim preseason roster by 3

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Wednesday that they have trimmed the preseason roster by three players. Placed on waivers were forwards Alex Hudson and Brett Beebe and defenseman Mathew Maione.Defenseman Matt Krug and forward Christian Ouellet have been placed on 21-day injured reserve.

The Fort Wayne roster of 21 players includes 11 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.

The Komets will open the 2014-15 campaign with a home-and-home series against the new Indy Fuel this weekend. The Komets open the season at the newly renovated State Fairgrounds Coliseum in Indianapolis Friday night at 7:35. Saturday the Komets will host Indy in the 63rd home opener at the Memorial Coliseum at 7:30pm.
