Petryk, Tremblay assigned to Komets

Petryk, Tremblay assigned to Komets

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Friday that forward Reid Petryk and goaltender Francois Tremblay have been assigned to Fort Wayne by Lake Erie. Also, defenseman Mikael Tam has been placed on 21-day injured reserve and goaltender Joe Howe has been placed on waivers.

Petryk, 21, made his pro debut during 2012-13 appearing in one game with Lake Erie in the AHL. Last season Petryk completed a five-year juniors career as a member of the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL collecting the Memorial Cup Championship and Western Hockey League Ed Chynoweth Cup Championship. The Edmonton, Alberta native also logged juniors career highs of 17 goals, 39 assists and 56 points in 62 games. Petryk has not seen action yet this season.Tremblay is returning to the Komet lineup after a brief call-up to Lake Erie. Tremblay appeared in the Fort Wayne training camp and was called up to Lake Erie prior to the start of the season.

Komets this weekend-- The Komets will travel to Kalamazoo for the Wing's home opener tonight at Wings Stadium at 7:30.Saturday the Komets welcome the Missouri Mavericks back to the Coliseum at 7:30pm for the first time since April 26, 2012 when the Komets eliminated the Mavericks from the CHL playoffs with a 6-4 victory. Missouri will open their season tonight against the Fuel at Indy. Sunday the Komets skate a 3pm matinee at Indy to complete week two of 2014-15. Komets on the air-- Tonight's game at Kalamazoo and Saturday's home game against Missouri will be broadcast on WOWO Radio AM 1190 and FM 92.3. Sunday's Komet game at Indy will air on WKJG AM 1380. Bob Chase will be radio-rinkside and all three Komet games this weekend will be webcast at Komets.com at OmniSource Radio Recycle.Sunday's game from Indy will also be telecast on MyTV including digital channel 33.2 and cable channels Comcast SD 18 and 252, Comcast HD 1018, Direct TV 34, Frontier SD 9 and Frontier HD 509 with 21Alive's Tommy Schoegler providing the play-by-play.

Tickets on sale-- Komet hockey single game tickets and season tickets for 2014-15 are on sale. Single game tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
