Komets announce player moves

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced the following player moves today:

Defenseman Gabriel Beaupre and goaltender Sami Aittokallio have been reassigned to the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters by the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL. Beaupre appeared in two games (0 points, 8 penalty minutes) while Aittokallio started four games (3-1-0, 4.90 goals-against average) for the Komets during their brief stay.

The Komets also announced that goaltender Eric Levine has been called up from Peoria of the SPHL. Levine, 26, participated in the Fort Wayne training camp in October before joining the Peoria Rivermen. Levine appeared in four games with the Rivermen posting a 3-0-1 record and 1.47 goals-against average through games of Nov. 15.-Komet roster-

The Komets face the Walleye at Toledo Wednesday morning at 10:30 to complete a six-game road swing since their last home game Nov. 1. Friday the Komets return home to host the Kalamazoo Wings at 8pm and Saturday the Greenville Road Warriors make their only appearance of the season in Fort Wayne at 7:30pm.

TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT Friday-- This Friday night will be Teddy Bear Toss Night when the Komets host Kalamazoo. It's the second annual Teddy Bear Toss game presented by Huntington University. Fans are invited to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to the game for the big toss and celebration after the Komets' first goal. All stuffed animals collected will benefit the Disorderly Bear Den of Good Bears of the World!REPORT CARD NIGHT #1 Saturday-- The Komets will have two PHP Report Card Nights this year. Students with an "A" or "A Equivalent" on their most recent report card earn a free ticket and have a chance to win one of two $1,000 U.S. Savings Bonds for future education on Report Card nights. The first is this Saturday when the Komets host the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:30pm. Report Card Night #2 is slated for Saturday, Feb. 21 when the Komets host the Gwinnett Gladiators.

TIP-A-KOMET Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Applebee's-- The Komets invite all fans to the Tip-A-Komet benefit at Applebee’s North Clinton location by the Coliseum Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 6:30pm-8pm. Fans have a chance to be served dinner by a Komet player as the entire team will be on-hand for the special night at Applebee’s. All tips benefit Applebee’s Make-A-Wish Foundation Fundraising efforts and the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
