Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets earned two points in three games for week six of 2014-15 to maintain first place in the ECHL's North Division, improving to 11-4-0 and 22 points after 15 games.

The week started with a 6-3 setback at Toledo Wednesday, finishing Fort Wayne's longest road trip of the year. The Komets were 4-2-0 for the six-game tour covering a period of 20 days. Christian Ouellet (RW), Mitchell Heard (LW) and Paul Crowder (C) scored for the Komets while goaltender Pat Nagle suffered his first road loss of the season, snapping a road win streak of four games.Friday in Fort Wayne the Komets rebounded with their third straight win over Kalamazoo 3-1 in front of the league's largest crowd of the night of 7,863. Mike Embach (LW), Eric Faille (C) and Shawn Szydlowski (RW) hit the net for the Komets. Nagle earned his seventh win of the season making 23 saves and contributed an assist. The Komets held the Wings to only 24 shots to improve to 5-0-0 when allowing less than 25 shots in a game.

Saturday the Komets took a split of their home weekend doubleheader falling 3-1 to the visiting Greenville Road Warriors. Komet defenseman Joey Leach scored his first pro goal and the first goal of the game before Greenville responded with three straight tallies. Nagle suffered the loss in the Fort Wayne net making 23 saves in his third straight start.

The week ahead-- The Komets will host Indy (3-8-3, 9 points) for the traditional Fort Wayne Thanksgiving game Thursday night at 7:30pm. The Komets are 33-16-4 after hosting 53 Turkey Day games. The Komets are an undefeated 3-0-0 after three meetings this year with the new Fuel. Thursday's match will be the fourth of 11 meetings this season and the second of six Indy visits. The Fuel are winless on the road after seven games (0-6-1) and are struggling to get out of the cellar of the North Division, trailing the first-place K's by 13 points. Indy is 1-5-1 after the last seven games and are on a three-game losing skid.

Friday the Komets travel to Kalamazoo (6-6-2, 14 points) for a Black Friday 5pm start at Wings Stadium. Fort Wayne leads the series 4-1-0 after a 3-1 win at the Coliseum last Friday night. Kalamazoo is winless in their last five outings (0-4-1). The Wings are tied with Cincinnati and Wheeling for third place in the North Division and trail the Komets by eight points after 14 games. Kalamazoo is idle this week until they host the Komets Friday. Saturday the Komets return home for Orlando's only visit of the season at 7:30pm. The Solar Bears (10-6-2, 22 points) are tied with the Komets for second place in the Eastern Conference and are on a roll of four straight wins and are 7-1-0 after their last eight games.
