Perlini added to Komet roster, Petryk recalled

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced today that center Brett Perlini has agreed to terms and has been added to the Fort Wayne roster. Perlini, 24, started this season with Indy appearing in 12 games scoring two goals and five points before being released Thursday. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native made his pro debut in 2012-13 skating stints with Bakersfield (ECHL) and Lake Erie (AHL). Last season Perlini split the year in the ECHL between Greenville and Toledo. Perlini has totaled 19 goals and 43 points in 103 career ECHL games to date.In addition player news, the Komets also announced today that forward Reid Petryk has been recalled by Lake Erie. Petryk appeared in 10 games with Fort Wayne (0 points, +1).

Warriors invade tonight-- Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors (9-6-0, 18 points) make their only appearance of the year in Fort Wayne at 7:30pm. The Warriors suffered a 3-0 shutout at Evansville Wednesday in their last meeting and are 2-3-0 in their last five games. The Komets upended the visiting Kalamazoo Wings Friday night 3-1 to improve to an Eastern Conference best 11-3-0 and 22 points while Greenville doubled-up the Walleye at Toledo 6-3.After tonight's match against the Road Warriors at the Coliseum, the Komets will get ready for the traditional Fort Wayne Thanksgiving game this Thursday at 7:30pm when the Indy Fuel make their second of six visits. Friday, Nov. 28 the Komets skate at Kalamazoo at 5pm. Saturday, Nov. 29 the Komets host Orlando as the Solar Bears make their only appearance of the season at 7:30pm.

REPORT CARD NIGHT #1 Saturday-- The Komets will have two PHP Report Card Nights this year. Students with an "A" or "A Equivalent" on their most recent report card earn a free ticket and have a chance to win one of two $1,000 U.S. Savings Bonds for future education on Report Card nights. The first is tonight when the Komets host the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:30. Report Card Night #2 is slated for Saturday, Feb. 21 when the Komets host the Gwinnett Gladiators.

TIP-A-KOMET Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Applebee's-- The Komets invite all fans to the Tip-A-Komet benefit at Applebee’s North Clinton location by the Coliseum Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 6:30pm-8pm.
