Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Monday that goaltender Roman Will has been reassigned to Fort Wayne by Colorado of the NHL. Will has logged 11 games this season with Lake Erie of the AHL posting a 2-6-1 record and 3.54 goals-against average. The Litomerice, Czech Republic native will be serving his second assignment with the Komets this year. Will appeared in one game with Fort Wayne, a 5-1 win at Indy Dec. 6, on his first assignment.The Komets also announced that forward Reid Petryk has been recalled by Lake Erie and goaltender Garrett Bartus has been placed on Waivers. Petryk as on his second assignment to the Komets and Bartus appeared in two games since he was added to the Fort Wayne roster Dec. 10.
Home for the Holiday week-- The Komets will get into 2015 hosting three games in five nights. The Quad City Mallards (14-10-5, 33 points) get the week started when they visit Monday night at 7:30pm. Wednesday the Komets welcome Indy (6-16-6, 18 points) for the traditional Fort Wayne New Year's Eve game. Friday the Komets face division rival Wheeling (12-14-0, 24 points) at 8pm.Saturday the Komets finish the week of four games in five nights with a trip to Toledo (19-5-3, 41 points) for a 6:30pm faceoff at Fifth Third Field. The outdoor game is part of Toledo's Winterfest celebration.
