Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced today that the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL has reassigned goaltender Roman Will to Fort Wayne from the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
Will, 22, skated the past two seasons with Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic. The Litomerice, Czech Republic native made his North American pro debut this year with the Monsters appearing in six games posting a 1-3-0 record, 3.72 goals-against average and .859 save percentage. Last year the netminder logged his second season of Czech play registering a 16-4 record, 1.84 goals-against average and .928 save percentage before fashioning a 1.81 goals-against average and .920 save percentage in 10 playoff games. In 2012-13 Will posted a Czech league best 1.87 goals-against average in 44 games.
Levine waived-- The Komets also announced today that goaltender Eric Levine (luh-VINE) has been waived. Levine appeared in one game with the Komets, a 4-1 win at Kalamazoo last Friday, and started this season with Peoria in the SPHL appearing in four games (3-0-1, 1.47gaa).
K's on the road-- The Komets will skate two road games this weekend beginning with a 7:35pm faceoff Friday at Cincinnati (7-6-2, 16 points). Saturday the Komets face intrastate rival the Fuel at Indy at 7:35pm. Both games this weekend will be aired on WOWO Radio AM 1190 and FM 92.3 and worldwide on the web at Komets.com presented by OmniSource Radio Recycle. Saturday's game at Evansville will also be telecast on MyTV in Fort Wayne. Fans are invited to watch the game at the Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery in Jefferson Pointe on Illinois Road.
Home for the holidays-- The Komets have 12 games slated for December including six at home for the holiday season. The Komets will host Toledo for the first Sunday 5pm game at the Memorial Coliseum Dec. 14. Indy visits Saturday, Dec 20 at 7:30pm. Evansville arrives Sunday, Dec. 21 for a 5pm faceoff. Then the Komets will host three holiday games in five nights including Friday, Dec. 27, Monday, Dec. 29 and the annual New Year's Eve game Wednesday, Dec. 31.
