Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Thursday that goaltender Pat Nagle will be returning to the Fort Wayne lineup after a brief stint with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
Nagle, 27, started the season with Fort Wayne posting a 17-4-1 record, 2.42 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage and one shutout in 22 appearances. Nagle was loaned to Grand Rapids Jan. 12 and backstopped his first AHL win Jan. 23 against the Utica Comets 5-1. It was the netminder's only start during his brief stint with the Griffins.In his last Fort Wayne start Jan. 11, Nagle extended his ECHL winning streak to three games with a 4-3 victory at Gwinnett making 37 saves on 40 shots. The Bloomfield, Michigan native is in his fourth pro season and first with the Komets.The Komets will travel to Kalamazoo Friday for a 7:30pm faceoff at Wings Stadium. Saturday the Komets return to Fort Wayne to complete a home-and-home series against the Wings at 7:30pm. Sunday the Komets will welcome the Evansville IceMen at 5pm.
