Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced today that their first two games of the 2015 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs opening round will be held at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne Friday, April 17, at 8pm and Saturday, April 18 at 7:30pm.Tickets for both home playoff games will go on sale tomorrow (Friday, March 27) at 10am at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com."We are pleased to open the first round of the playoffs at home on Friday and Saturday nights," Komet president Michael Franke said. "This is great for all Komet fans."The Komets will be making their second appearance in the playoffs as a member of the ECHL and it will be the 54th time in the 63-year history of Komet hockey in Fort Wayne. The Kelly Cup playoffs will all be best-of-seven series.
The Komets began a three-game eastern swing last night with a 7-3 win at Elmira. The Komets extended their win streak to three games. Eric Faille and Shawn Szydlowski each scored a pair of goals. Christian Ouellet, Matthew Pistilli and Brett Perlini each contributed markers as goaltender Roman Will earned his 13th win of the season making 30 saves on 33 shots. The Komets will continue their eastern road trip Friday with a 7:35pm faceoff at Wheeling. Saturday the Komets cap the tour at Cincinnati at 7:35pm.
