Right wing Garrett Meurs has been reassigned to Fort Wayne by Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
This will be Meurs' third reassignment to Fort Wayne this season. The Wingham, Ontario native has appeared in 30 games with the Komets during 2014-15 scoring 12 goals and 22 points while accumulating 44 penalty minutes.
Meurs also appeared in 20 games this past season with Lake Erie (0 points, 2 penalty minutes).With the addition of Meurs, the Komets' ECHL Kelly Cup playoff roster grows to 21 active players including 12 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.

The Komets will open their first round best-of-seven playoff series against the Kalamazoo Wings this Friday at the Memorial Coliseum at 8pm. Game 2 is slated for Saturday in Fort Wayne at 7:30pm.
