Fort Wayne, IN-- The ECHL announced Wednesday that Fort Wayne goaltender Roman Will has been named CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for April, 2015.Will, 22, generated a 4-1-0 record and finished with a 1.75 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in five appearances during the month.The Pilsen, Czech Republic native registered two shootout victories among his four wins. Will stopped all five shooters in a 3-2 home win over Cincinnati April 8. He then capped the season with his sixth straight home win, another 3-2 shootout victory over the Cyclones, in Fort Wayne's season finale April 11.Will was named to the 2014-15 ECHL All-Rookie Team last week. He completed the regular season at 17-8-4, led first-year goalies and ranked fifth overall with a 2.41 goals-against average while placing third with a .921 save percentage for the year.Playoffs open Friday-- The Komets-Wings North Division semi-finals will follow a 2-3-2 format with the first two games in Fort Wayne. Game one is this Friday at 7:30pm and game two is slated for Saturday at 7:30pm before the series switches to Kalamazoo for games 3, 4, and if necessary, 5.
