Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Wednesday that three players have been added to the preseason roster including goaltender Pat Nagle, defenseman Alex Boak and forward Adam Pawlick.Nagle (NAY-gull), 28, will be returning to the Fort Wayne lineup after posting a 23-7-2 record last year while ranking eighth in the ECHL with a 2.48 goals-against average in 33 games. The Bloomfield, Michigan native also logged AHL stints with Rochester, Grand Rapids and Utica during the season. Nagle made his pro debut in the ECHL with Florida in 2011-12 and appeared in six playoff games registering a 1.42 goals-against average and posting two shutouts en route to the ECHL Kelley Cup Championship. Prior to joining the Komets last year, Nagle backstopped Idaho in 43 games during 2013-14 and finished with a 2.73 goals-against average and 23-14-4 record. 2015-16 will be the goaltender's fifth pro year. Nagle has scored ECHL totals of 80-44-12, 2.77 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 146 appearances.Boak (boke), 26, will be entering his second full season as a pro after splitting last season with Wheeling in the ECHL and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the AHL. The defenseman scored a goal and added five assists while accumulating 80 penalty minutes in 31 AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and added 14 games with Wheeling (1g, 2pts). Boak completed a four-year collegiate career in 2013-14 with Clarkson University in the ECAC amassing college totals of seven goals, 31 points and 324 penalty minutes in 148 games.

Pawlick, 25, also skated a four-year college career at Clarkson University before making his pro debut in 2013-14 in the SPHL with Pensacola, appearing in all 56 regular season games leading the Ice Flyers with 27 goals and capturing the regular season title. The Utica, New York native capped the season winning the SPHL President's Cup Championship. Last season Pawlick was an ironman for the second straight season with Pensacola skating 56 games and leading the Ice Flyers for the second consecutive year with 32 while taking the SPHL scoring title with 66 points. Pawlick was also named to the SPHL First All-Star Team.The Fort Wayne preseason roster grows to a dozen players with the addition of Nagle, Boak and Pawlick and includes one goaltender, four defensemen and seven forwards.

Home opener Oct. 17-- The 64th season of Komet hockey starts with a home-and-home series against long time rival Kalamazoo. The Komets skate at Kalamazoo Friday, Oct. 16 for the season opener.
