Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets remained unbeaten at 3-0-0 Friday night with a 3-0 victory over the visiting Indy Fuel, pleasing a home crowd of 7,135.It was goaltender Spencer Martin's first pro start, win and shutout. The Oakville, Ontario native stopped all 21 Indy shots and earned first star of the game.After two straight scoreless periods, the Komets broke the deadlock at 8:15 of the third period when Alex Belzile finally solved Fuel netminder Shane Owen with assists from Trevor Cheek and Peter Sivak.

The Komets sealed the win at 18:59 with Mike Embach's empty netter and Cheek capped the night with another empty net tally with 16 seconds remaining in the match.

Owen suffered his first loss of the season after winning Indy's home opener last Friday making 26 saves on 27 shots.

The Komets face Indy again Saturday night at 7:30 in the second of a home double-header against the intrastate rival Fuel.
