Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Tuesday that forward Shawn Skelly has been added to the lineup and goaltender Pat Nagle has been called-up to the Stockton Heat of the AHL.Skelly, 28, started the season appearing in six SPHL games with Knoxville before joining Macon and adding four games. The Wolverine Lake, Michigan native completed his collegiate career with Adrian College in 2010-11, leading the Bulldogs in scoring his final three seasons and finished with four-year NCAA III totals of 102 goals and 229 points in 113 games.
Last season Skelly shared his fourth pro year with Fayetteville and Louisiana in the SPHL and added 25 ECHL games with Wheeling (7g, 4a). Skelly has totaled 27 goals, 29 assists and 56 points in 99 career ECHL games.
Nagle is in his second season with the Komets and this is his first call-up of the year. After 10 appearances he is 5-4-0 while posting a 2.51 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
In additional player movement, the Komets announced that right winger Brock Montgomery has been placed on the 21-Day injured reserve list.
The Komets will be home this Thanksgiving holiday week for a pair of games. First the Komets skate at Cincinnati Wednesday at 7:35pm before returning home to host the Cyclones on Thanksgiving night at 7:30. The Toledo Walleye visit Saturday for a 7:30pm faceoff.
