Wings visit for Military Appreciation Weekend tonight

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets hope to make it a clean sweep of a Military Appreciation Weekend at the Memorial Coliseum tonight when the Wings visit from Kalamazoo for a 7:30pm faceoff.

Last night the Komets dismissed the Toledo Walleye 4-1 in the first of a two-game home stand. Four different skaters scored for the Komets including Mike Embach, Drew Daniels, Garrett Thompson and Brock Montgomery as the Komets snapped a brief two-game winless skid. Spencer Martin earned his second win of the season stopping 28 of 29 shots. -View Highlights--Gamesheet-Tonight's game will be the first of a home-and-home set between Fort Wayne (5-2-0) and Kalamazoo (3-4-1). The Komets and Wings head for Kalamazoo after tonight's game for a 4pm matinee at Wings Event Center Sunday. Last night the Wings clipped the Nailers at Wheeling 4-3 to extend their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1).

Military Appreciation Weekend-- Both home games this weekend are a part of Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Window World. The Komets will wear special patriotic military-themed jerseys to be auctioned to benefit Veterans Airlift Command.
