Komets home for triple-header holiday weekend

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets will be busy at home for the holidays over the next two weeks. This weekend they skate three home games in four nights prior to the Christmas break. Then, after a four-day break, the Komets will be home for three more home games in six nights to finish the month of December before hitting the road for two games to start the new year on Jan. 1 and 2. In all, starting this Friday, the Komets will skate eight games in 16 days which is probably a record for most games in the period surrounding Christmas and New Years weeks.Friday the hustle and bustle of the holidays begins when the Manchester Monarchs make their first ever visit to Fort Wayne for the only meeting of the season at 8pm. Saturday the Brampton Beast make their Fort Wayne debut with a 7:30pm faceoff. It's the first of two visits by the Beast this season. Monday the Atlanta Gladiators will be in town for the only meeting of the season at 7:30pm.

Friday night is Marathon Night. Again this year Komet fans can save on their Friday night tickets with Marathon. Fans can earn a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer with the purchase of three fill-ups at any participating Marathon location. Save with your Marathon Fill-Up Card at the game this Friday when the Komets host the Manchester Monarchs at 8:00.Saturday night is Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are invited to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to Saturday's home game against the Brampton Beast. The Komets' first goal of the game will be the signal for all stuffed animals to be tossed onto the ice where they will be collected and donated to the Disorderly Bear Den, a non-profit charity that collects stuffed animals for those in need.Monday night is OmniSource Season Ticket Recycling Night. Season ticket holders have a chance to exchange their unused season tickets from previous games of the season for tickets to see the Komets face the Atlanta Gladiators Monday, Dec. 21, at 7:30pm, compliments of OmniSource.

Monday night is also College Night. All area college students can take advantage of a special Buy-One-Get-One-Free ticket offer for this Monday night's Komet home game against the Atlanta Gladiators. Students can get two tickets to sit in the Pepsi Zone for only $18 this Monday night with their student I.D. at the Coliseum Ticket Office.

Beaupre has appeared in 16 Komet games since his assignment to Fort Wayne on Nov. 26.
