Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets dropped game 5 of the best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinals Saturday night in Cincinnati 5-4 in double overtime. It was the third straight playoff double overtime for the Komets dating back to last year's 3-2 double-OT win over the visiting Toledo Walleye in game 6 of the quarterfinals on May 10, 2015. The Komets edged the Cyclones at Cincinnati Friday night 3-2 in double overtime.
The Cyclones take a 3-2 series lead into Monday night's game 6 at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. If a game 7 is needed, it will be played Wednesday in Fort Wayne at 7:30.
