Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets will face the Cincinnati Cyclones in the first round of the ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs starting Friday, April 15 with an 8pm faceoff at the Memorial Coliseum. The Komets completed the 2015-16 campaign as Midwest Division Champions and earned second seed in the Western Conference and home-ice advantage for the first round while the Cyclones locked up seventh seed setting the stage for the fourth post-season meeting between Fort Wayne and a Cincinnati team over the history of the two clubs. It will be the second time the Komets and Cyclones have met in ECHL playoff action since 2014 when Cincinnati won the series 4-2 in a second round series.
The Western Conference quarter-finals best-of-seven series will open in Fort Wayne Friday, April 15 at 8pm. Game two is slated for Saturday, April 16 at 7:30pm in Fort Wayne before the series switches to Cincinnati for games 3, 4, and if necessary, 5. If needed, games 6 and 7 will be held in Fort Wayne.
