Fort Wayne, IN-- For the second consecutive game the Komets have rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the game and force overtime.

Wednesday night the Komets earned a point in a 4-3 overtime loss at Tulsa after trailing 3-1. Jamie Schaafsma pulled the Komets even 1-1 with a power play marker at 9:48 of the second period. Only 21 seconds later the ECHL leading Oilers jumped out with a 3-1 margin scoring two goals in 49 seconds.Before the period could end Shawn Szydlowski scored his fourth goal of the season with the man advantage to send the game into the second intermission with Tulsa holding a 3-2 lead.

Kyle Thomas knotted the score at 3-3 when he solved Tulsa goaltender Jamie Phillips on the power play with Fort Wayne goalie Eric Hartzell pulled for the extra attacker and 25 seconds remaining in regulation time.

In overtime Tulsa was awarded their seventh power play of the game and capitalized when Dan DeSalvo scored the game winner at 2:55. The Komets finished with three power play goals on seven chances and stopped six of Tulsa's man advantages. Fort Wayne's Hartzell suffered his second straight overtime loss making 32 saves on 36 shots while Tulsa's Phillips remained undefeated at 10-0-0 on 31 saves.-Gamesheet-

The Komets remain on the road and will skate three games in three nights this weekend starting with back-to-back games at Missouri Friday, at 8:35pm ET and Saturday at 8:05pm ET. The Komets cap the week with a 5:05pm ET faceoff at Wichita Sunday.Kids Seat Free Friday, Nov. 18-- Once again this season the Komets feature Kids Seat Free Nights. The next Kids Seat Free Night is Friday, Nov. 18 at 8pm when Quad City visits for the Komets next home game, courtesy Aunt Millie's, Parkview Health and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.

Friday night Marathon Nights-- Again this year Komet fans can save on their Friday night tickets with Marathon. Fans can earn a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer with the purchase of three fill-ups at participating Marathon locations. Save with your Marathon Fill-Up Card Friday, Nov. 18 when the Komets face the Mallards.TIP-A-KOMET Tuesday Nov. 15 at Applebee's-- The Komets invite all fans to the Tip-A-Komet benefit at Applebee’s North Clinton location by the Coliseum Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 6:30pm-8pm. Fans have a chance to be served dinner by a Komet player as the entire team will be on-hand for the special night at Applebee’s.
