Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced their playoff roster for the 2017 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs Tuesday. The roster consists of a total of 22 players including 19 on the active list, two on reserve and one player on the playoff eligible list.

Players on the roster include: Forwards Taylor Crunk, Brett Perlini, Mike Embach, Shawn Szydlowski, Jamie Schaafsma, Kyle Thomas, Garrett Thompson, Mason Baptista, Mike Cazzola, Gabriel Desjardins, Travis Ewanyk and Trevor Cheek (playoff eligible). Defensemen Will Weber, Cody Sol, Jason Binkley, Curtis Leonard, Dan Milan, Ryan Lowney, Kyle Follmer (reserve) and Bobby Shea (reserve). Goaltenders Pat Nagle and Garrett Bartus. -2017 Fort Wayne Komets playoff roster-

The Komets completed the 2016-17 campaign ranked second in the Central Division of the Western Conference and earned second seed and home-ice advantage for the first round in the Central Division semifinals. The Mallards locked up third seed setting the stage for the fourth post-season meeting between Fort Wayne and Quad City over the history of the two clubs. It's the first meeting in the ECHL playoffs.

The Fort Wayne/Quad City Central Division semifinals best-of-seven series will follow a 2-3-2 format and open in Fort Wayne Friday at 8pm. Game two is slated for Saturday at 7:30pm in Fort Wayne before the series switches to Quad City for games 3, 4, and if necessary, 5. If needed, games 6 and 7 will be held in Fort Wayne.
