Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets will get back into action tonight when the Cincinnati Cyclones visit for an 8:00 faceoff. Tonight's match is the only game of the week for the K's. After this weekend, the Komets will skate three games in three nights beginning Friday, Nov. 3 when the Adirondack Thunder visit for an 8pm faceoff. Saturday, Nov. 4 the Komets host the Quad City Mallards at 7:30pm before traveling to Kalamazoo for a 3pm matinee Sunday, Nov. 5.

The Komets also announced player transactions today. Defenseman Jalen Smereck has been assigned to Fort Wayne from the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners. The Detroit, Michigan native completed four years of juniors last season scoring nine goals and adding 36 assists for 45 points in 60 OHL games with Flint. Smereck also signed a three-year entry level contract with the NHL's Arizona Coyotes before making his pro debut skating two games with Tucson at the end of the season. Prior to his assignment to Fort Wayne, Smereck appeared in one game this season with the Roadrunners.

The Komets also announced that center Justin Hodgman and left wing Gabriel Desjardins have been placed on 21-day injured reserve.

Kids Seat Free Night-- Once again this season the Komets will feature Kids Seat Free Nights. The first Kids Seat Free Night of the season is slated for tonight when the Cincinnati Cyclones visit courtesy Aunt Millie's, Parkview Health and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.

Friday night Marathon Nights-- Again this year Komet fans can save on their Friday night tickets with Marathon. Fans can earn a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer with the purchase of three fill-ups at participating Marathon locations. Save with your Marathon Fill-Up Card tonight when the Cyclones visit for an 8pm faceoff on Sweetwater Ice at the Memorial Coliseum.

Little ghosts and goblins on ice Friday-- It's the largest Halloween party in the Fort tonight when the Komets face the Cyclones. All little ghosts and goblins in attendance are invited to wear their favorite costume for a Halloween parade on ice. Boo!

Komet Hockey on WOWO-- Komet games are scheduled to air on WOWO AM 1190 and FM 107.5. All radio broadcasts also stream live at Komets.com presented by OmniSource Radio Recycle. Fans are invited to follow the action as Shane Albahrani handles the play-by-play.
