Tucson sends forward Zac Larraza to Komets

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Wednesday that forward Zac Larraza has been assigned to Fort Wayne by the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners.

Larraza (luh-RAH-zuh), 24, is a third-year pro and has one goal in three games this season with Tucson. Last year the Scottsdale, Arizona native split the season between San Diego in the AHL (five goals, nine points in 17 games) and the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies where he scored seven goals and 16 points in 15 games.

Selected by Phoenix in round 7 of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Larraza completed his four-year collegiate career with the University of Denver in 2014-15 where he was on board for the 2014 NCHC Championship. The skater made his pro debut in 2015-16 spending time in the ECHL with Manchester scoring 20 goals and 30 points in 39 games while also skating in the AHL with Portland, Milwaukee and San Diego.

During his career, Larraza has logged AHL totals of nine goals and 18 points in 44 games and ECHL totals of 27 goals and 46 points in 54 games.

Komets roster

Cyclones blow into town Friday-- The Komets will face the Cincinnati Cyclones Friday at 8pm on Sweetwater Ice at the Memorial Coliseum. It's the first of four Cincy visits and the first of nine meetings this season. The Clones are 0-1-1 after two games and will head for Kalamazoo for a 7pm faceoff Saturday night after the game. Friday's match is the only game of the week for Fort Wayne. The Komets will skate three games in three nights beginning Friday, Nov. 3 when the Adirondack Thunder visit for an 8pm faceoff. Saturday, Nov. 4 the Komets host the Quad City Mallards at 7:30pm before traveling to Kalamazoo for a 3pm matinee Sunday, Nov. 5.

Kids Seat Free Night-- Once again this season the Komets will feature Kids Seat Free Nights. The first Kids Seat Free Night is slated for this Friday when Cincinnati visits courtesy Aunt Millie's, Parkview Health and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.

Friday night Marathon Nights-- Again this year Komet fans can save on their Friday night tickets with Marathon. Fans can earn a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer with the purchase of three fill-ups at participating Marathon locations. Save with your Marathon Fill-Up Card at the first Marathon Night of the season this Friday when Cincinnati visits for an 8pm faceoff.

Boo! Little ghosts and goblins on ice Friday-- It's the largest Halloween party in the Fort this Friday when the Komets face the Cyclones. All little ghosts and goblins in attendance are invited to wear their favorite costume for a Halloween parade on ice.

Komet Hockey on WOWO-- Komet games are scheduled to air on WOWO AM 1190 and FM 107.5. All radio broadcasts also stream live at Komets.com presented by OmniSource Radio Recycle.
