Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Friday that forward Marco Roy has returned to the Fort Wayne lineup.
Roy (wah), 25, was released from his PTO with the AHL's Utica Comets and is expected to be back on the Komets' roster in time for this weekend's games. The Boisbriand, Quebec native started the season with the Komets scoring five goals and 17 points in 14 games before being loaned to Utica Dec. 28. Roy appeared in six games with Utica amassing two goals and 11 penalty minutes. 2017-18 is Roy's third pro year since completing a five-year juniors career in the QMJHL in 2014-15.
In additional player movement, the Komets also announced Friday that forward Trevor Cheek has been recalled by the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL.
The Komets travel to Cincinnati for a 7:35 faceoff tonight before returning to Sweetwater Ice at the Memorial Coliseum to face the Allen Americans in a double-header weekend starting at 7:30pm Saturday. Sunday the Komets and Americans finish the weekend with a 5pm start.

Kids Seat Free Night Saturday-- Once again this season the Komets will feature Kids Seat Free Nights. Another Kids Seat Free Night is scheduled for Saturday when the Americans visit courtesy Aunt Millie's, Lutheran Health Network and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.
Meijer Family Night Sunday-- The Komets present Meijer Family Night at every Sunday home game this season and will offer a bonus holiday Family Night special this Sunday when the Komets host Allen. Coupons for a 4-for-$36 ticket offer are available at all Meijer locations around the Fort Wayne area. Also, fans can bring their skates for a free open skate after each Meijer Family Night game.
