The Komets announced Thursday the addition of forward Aidan Muir to the preseason roster.
Muir, 23, completed a four-year stint at Western Michigan University last year after amassing collegiate totals of 14 goals and 46 points in 118 NCHC games. Muir was selected by Edmonton in round four of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft prior to scoring 14 goals and 41 points in 54 USHL games with Indiana before capturing the 2014 USHL Clark Cup Championship with the Ice.The Komets preseason roster grows to 31 players including 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.
The 2018 training camp begins Monday, Oct. 1 at the Memorial Coliseum. Two exhibition games are scheduled against the Indy Fuel. The Komets are at Indy for a preseason tilt Friday, Oct. 5 at 6pm and then host the Fuel Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:30pm. The regular season begins Friday, Oct. 12 with a 7:35pm at Indy. The Komets 2018-19 home opener is Saturday, Oct. 20 against the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30pm.
