Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets announced Saturday that they have trimmed the preseason roster by five players.
The following players have been released from training camp:
Brandon Lubin
Nicholas Kuqali
Trent Fox
Jarret Kup
Brant Sherwood
The preseason roster shrinks to 27 players including 16 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders.
The Komets will host the Indy Fuel in exhibition action tonight at the Memorial Coliseum at 7:30pm. Last night the Komets clipped the Fuel 3-2 in a shoot-out preseason game at Indy.There is no Fort Wayne broadcast of tonight's game, however fans can follow the action online with Indy's Andrew Smith calling the play-by-play at https://www.indyfuelhockey.com/media-fanzone/watch-listen-live.
After tonight's home exhibition game, the Komets will take the day off tomorrow and return to practice at the Coliseum on Monday. The Komets will open the 2018-19 season at Indy Friday, Oct. 12. The Komets will open their home schedule Saturday, Oct. 20 against Kalamazoo at 7:30pm.
