Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets will be looking to get back on the winning track after dropping a pair of games on the road for week 6.  Friday the Komets fell 4-1 at Cincinnati and Saturday the Walleye claimed a 2-1 home win over the Komets.   After 13 games, the Komets enter week 7 at 5-8-0 for 10 points and will get ready to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with three games in three nights .

Bob Chase Memorial Thanksgiving game-- The Komets will host the traditional Thanksgiving holiday home game this Thursday night when the Brampton Beast visit for a 7:30 faceoff on Sweetwater Ice at the Memorial Coliseum.  The Komets are 8-2-0 in their last 10 Thanksgiving games and have won the last two in a row after last years 5-4 victory over Toledo.  It will be the 58th Fort Wayne home Thanksgiving game (36-17-2-2).  A special Bob Chase Memorial Game Bobble Head will be on sale with proceeds going to WOWO Penney Pitch.  Also, donations will be taken for the annual charity event.

Thursday night's match will be the first meeting of four this season with the Beast and the first of two in Fort Wayne.  Brampton is coached by Komet Hall of Famer Colin Chaulk.  Chaulk's Beast is coming off a 4-1 victory over Adirondack Sunday.  Brampton is 4-3-0 in their last seven outings and 8-6-1 after 15 games for 17 points but trail first place Newfoundland in the North division of the Eastern Conference by nine points.  Last season the Komets turned back the Beast in the only meeting of the season 5-3 at Brampton in January.

Komets at Kalamazoo Friday-- Friday the Komets will travel to Kalamazoo for the second of eight trips north this year.  The Komets are 1-2-0 against the Wings after three meetings including a 6-3 win on Nov. 3 the last time the two teams met.  The division rival Wings are in last place in the Central division with a 4-7-1 record and nine points after 12 games.  Kalamazoo will try to snap their three-game losing streak at Cincinnati Wednesday before welcoming the Komets to Wings Event Center Friday at 7:30pm.

Cyclones at Komets Saturday-- Saturday at the Komets return home to face the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30pm, marking the seventh straight season the Komets have been home on Thursday and Saturday for the Thanksgiving weekend.  The Cyclones enter the week boasting a three game win streak and are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.  The Central division rival Clones are 10-3-2 for 22 points after 15 games and trail first-place Toledo by a point.  Cincinnati will host Kalamazoo Wednesday and skate at Indy Friday before making the trip to Fort Wayne Saturday.

Komet leaders-- Justin Hodgman leads with 15 assists (second in the ECHL), 19 points (tied for third in the ECHL) and +6.....J.C. Campagna and Phelix Martineau lead with five goals each....Taylor Crunk leads with 38 penalty minutes....Phelix Martineau leads with 33 shots.REPORT CARD NIGHT Saturday-- The Komets present the annual PHP Report Card Night Saturday when the Cyclones visit.  Students with an "A" or "A Equivalent" on their most recent report card earn a free ticket and have a chance to win $1,000 for future education.  Report cards or letters showing an "A" or equivalent can be taken to the Coliseum Ticket Office any time before the game.

New "Live From Radio Rinkside" book to be on sale-- Starting with the Bob Chase Memorial Game Thanksgiving night, copies of the special 10-year anniversary edition of "Live From Radio Rinkside: The Bob Chase Story" will be on sale at the Komets souvenir stand. The book includes 17 new chapters including one by author and long-time Komets beat writer Blake Sebring on why Chase deserves enshrinement in the Hockey Hall of Fame. The book, also available on Amazon and at The Bookmark at 3420 N. Anthony Blvd., costs $20 for a paperback and $5 on Kindle.
