The Komets announced Tuesday that defenseman Brandon Lubin has agreed to terms and has been added to the Fort Wayne roster. Lubin (LOU-binn), 27, participated in the Komets training camp this year prior to starting his third year in the SPHL with Evansville. The Commerce Township, Michigan native appeared in 16 games with the Thunderbolts scoring two goals and five points in 16 games. Last season Lubin skated two ECHL games with the Fort Wayne.
The Komets also announced that defensemen Cody Sol and Chris Rygus (RIE-gus) have each been placed on 14-day injured reserve.The Komets will skate three games in three nights this weekend beginning at Wheeling Friday at 7:05pm. Saturday the Komets return home to host Indy at 7:30pm and Sunday the Tulsa Oilers visit Fort Wayne for a 5pm faceoff.
This Friday and Saturday's games will air on WOWO AM 1190 and FM 107.5. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ESPN WKJG radio AM 1380 and FM 100.9 with Shane Albahrani calling the play-by-play.
