Fort Wayne, IN—The Komets defeated Wichita 4-3 in overtime Monday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum to advance to the Western Conference Finals.  The team will face the Allen Americans in the best-of-five series that will start Friday at the Allen Event Center. Game two will be played in Allen on Saturday night. Then the series will shift to Fort Wayne for game three next Monday. Games four and five will also be played at the Coliseum if necessary. Monday's victory was the Komets 300th playoff win in franchise history.

Fort Wayne wins series 3-2

The Komets will be playing in their third conference final since joining the ECHL before the 2012-2013 season. The club lost to Allen 4-1 in 2016, and fell to Colorado 4-3 in 2018.  The Komets and the Americans did not play during the regular season. The winner of the series will play either Greenville or South Carolina in the Kelly Cup Finals.   

Western Conference Final Schedule 

Game 1 – Friday, June 18 at 8:05 p.m. at Allen

Game 2 – Saturday, June 19 at 8:05 p.m. at Allen

Game 3 – Monday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Fort Wayne

Game 4 – Tuesday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Fort Wayne (If Necessary)

Game 5 – Wednesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Fort Wayne (If Necessary)

TICKETS Season ticket holders will have a special two-day window, this Wednesday and Thursday to purchase tickets for all three potential home games.  The Coliseum ticket office will open at 10:00 a.m. each day and will close at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for the general public will go on sale Friday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. for the first home game of the series.  The ticket office will also be open Saturday, June 19th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

SEASON TICKET HOLDER PRE-SALE DETAILS:  Season ticket holders in good standing will be able to purchase their playoff tickets in advance of the general public by showing their Komets Playoff Card and their Photo ID.  Each cardholder receives a rate of $15 PER TICKET instead of regular walk-up pricing and can purchase up to Eight (8) tickets for each home playoff game.
