Fort Wayne, IN— The Komets opened their 75th training camp today at the PSM Icehouse. The team begins camp with 19 forwards, 10 defensemen, and three goaltenders. The club will play an exhibition game in Wheeling on Friday, October 9, then return to the Coliseum for a match on Sunday, October 11, starting at 5:00 p.m. The team also announced that former NHL player Steve Oleksy has joined the club as a hockey operations advisor.

Forwards Hunter Johannes and Josh Davies have been reassigned to the Komets along with defenseman John Gormley from Bakersfield of the AHL. The team also received forward Brady Stonehouse and goaltenders Nathan Day, Samuel Jonsson, and Eemil Vinni from Edmonton.
The team has signed forwards Davide Gaeta (DAH-vee-deh gah-EH-tah), Jake Suede (Swayd), and Trey Fechko to tryout agreements, along with defensemen Benjamin Lindberg, Samuel Loiselle, and Felix Larose.
All practices are open to the public.

10/6: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
10/7: 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m., Scrimmage 1:15 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
10/8: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Scrimmage 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Oleksy, 40, joins the Komets staff after playing 711 professional games in the NHL, ECHL, AHL, and UHL.

The Komets open the regular season with a home match against Toledo on Saturday, October 17, starting at 7:35 p.m.
