Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets announced the following player moves Tuesday:

Forward Marco Roy has been released from the AHL's Laval Rocket and has returned to Fort Wayne.  Roy appeared in nine games with Laval and accumulated six penalty minutes.  In 28 games with the Komets Roy has 12 goals and 26 points.

Laval has also recalled forward Phelix Martineau. It's Martineau's third reassignment to the Rocket this season where he has scored four assists in 25 games.  Martineau has posted 12 goals and 21 points in 23 games with Fort Wayne.

Players agreeing to terms and added to the Fort Wayne roster Tuesday are goaltender Jiri Patera, forward Alexander Katerinakis and defenseman Dalton Hamaliuk.Patera (puh-TERE-uh), 20, was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in round 6, #161 overall, of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. During 2018-19 the Praha, Czech Republic native posted a 3.31 goals-against average and .906 save percentage while going 22-20-2 in 48 WHL games with the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Katerinakis (kat-er-in-AKK-iss), 20, has recently completed a five-year juniors stint with Blainville-Boisbriand of the QMJHL.  During his juniors career Katerinakis won the 2014 QMJHL Gold Cup championship and amassed 55 goals and 151 points in 261 games.  The Montreal, Quebec native led Blainville-Boisbriand this past season with 21 goals, 50 points and 91 penalty minutes.

Hamaliuk (HAM-uh-luck), 21, coming off a five year career in the WHL where he totaled 10 goals, 60 points in 279 games.  The defenseman finished his career appearing in 66 games during 2018-19 with Moose Jaw scoring four goals and 23 points.

The Komets also announced that forward Reid Jackman and defenseman Trey Phillips have been placed on waivers.

This is it-- This week the Komets will skate four games in five nights to complete the 2018-19 regular season schedule and can clinch a playoff berth with one point. 

The Indy Fuel visit for a 7:30pm faceoff Wednesday.  The Komets finish the home-and-home series at Indy Friday at 7:35pm.  The Komets host back-to-back games over the weekend starting with Cincinnati Saturday at 7:30pm.  Sunday the Komets welcome Wheeling for a 5pm faceoff in the regular season finale.

Playoffs get underway next week. The first two rounds of the Kelly Cup Playoffs will be played entirely within the division, with the division winner playing the fourth-place finisher and the second-place team meeting the third-place team in the Division Semifinals. The winners of each series will meet in the Division Finals, leading to the Conference Finals and Kelly Cup Finals.Deuces Wild Wednesday-- It's Deuces Wild this Wednesday.  Pepsi Zone tickets are two for $22 and fans can get $2 beers and $2 sodas all night.

Kids Seat Free Night Saturday--  Once again this season the Komets feature Kids Seat Free Nights.  A Kids Seat Free Night is scheduled for this Saturday's home game courtesy Aunt Millie's, Lutheran Health Network and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.Marvel Super Hero Night Saturday-- The ECHL Presents Marvel Superhero Night!  The Komets will wear special Black Panther jerseys when they host he Cincinnati Cyclones. Come dressed as your favorite costumed character and meet some of your heroes at the game!

Season Ticket Recycling Night Sunday-- Sunday is another Season Ticket Recycling Night when the Komets host the Wheeling Nailers.  Komet Season Ticket Holders will be able to exchange any unused Komet tickets from previously scheduled home games this year for tickets to the game Sunday.Family Four Pack, 4 for $59 Night Sunday--  Fans can take advantage of a 4-for-$59 offer at Sunday's home game courtesy of Midwest America Federal Credit Union.  Get four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks, four chips for only $59 when purchasing the Family Four Pack at the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office.

Komets Season Ending Awards Sunday-- The annual presentation of Komet team awards will be held immediately following Sunday's game against Wheeling.  The Komets will honor the Defenseman of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, the True Komet award, Mr. Hustle award, Unsung Hero, Best Defensive Forward and Most Valuable Player of 2018-19 as voted by team personnel and local media with trophy presentations after the game.
